ABOUT ME

Darylee’s Driving School

My family and I have called Kelowna our home since 1990. I am a proud mother of two awesome sons.

In May 2019, I received my Driver Training Instructor’s Certification. Since then, I have enjoyed training students as an instructor for All Weather Driving School. In the Fall of 2021, I embarked on the next phase of my career as an independent owner/operator of my own Driver Training School: Darylee’s Driving School. It is an immensely fulfilling career with important lifelong results for my students.

I am a Certified Driver Training Instructor – Class 5 & 7, and maintain a license as a Driver Training School, under the British Columbia Motor Vehicle Act Owner/Operator. I have 41 years of driving experience and have a background in teaching students through piano lessons and operating a licensed daycare for many years. Aside from teaching students how to drive, my interests are also in music, riding my motorcycle, camping and spending time with my family.

Gain Experience and Confidence

My Mission

My mission is to give the gift of believing in yourself, overcoming fear & anxiety, becoming confident in yourself, in a positive and calm environment. All while learning how to become a safe and responsible driver for a lifetime.

Successful Training for Safe Driving

My Goal

My goal is to provide a higher level of training to a wide variety of clients.

I use a variety of teaching techniques, look for teachable moments and promote thinking and understanding. I continue my dedication to influence drivers to be the best they can be. I’m highly professional and possess extensive knowledge and experience in the field. I work with each student at a pace that is comfortable for them. Every student is different and has a different capacity of learning, and I work with each one until they achieve a successful outcome. I follow the ICBC instructed Safe and Smart Driving approach of see-think-do.

SEE: Scan for hazards. Pay attention to other road users and the areas where hazards could occur.

THINK: Decide which hazards are the most dangerous. Think quickly about possible solutions. Decide on the safest solution.

DO: Do maneuvers to keep yourself and others safe.
